Exciting collaboration on High Entropy Alloys by HKIAS Senior Fellows Professor Chain-Tsuan Liu and Professor Jian Lu, and HKIAS Executive Director Professor Jacob C. Huang

24 July 2020

Innovative findings on high entropy alloys for both functional and structural applications by the HKIAS Materials Science Cluster and researchers at CityU were featured on various leading scientific journals, including Science, Advanced Materials, Nature Communications, Acta Materialia, Materials Today, and Materials Research Letters.

The research team of the HKIAS Materials Science Cluster was led by Professor Chain-Tsuan Liu and Professor Jian Lu, Senior Fellows of HKIAS; and Professor Jacob C. Huang, Executive Director of HKIAS. Collaborators include Professor David J Srolovitz, Senior Fellow of HKIAS; Professor J. J. Kai, Chair Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Professor Fu-Rong Chen, Chair Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; Professor Xun-Li Wang, Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Physics; Professor T. G. Nieh, Former Visiting Fellow of HKIAS; Professor Yuntian Zhu, Chair Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; together with some other distinguished materials scientists at CityU.
