As an institution dedicated to advancing the frontiers of knowledge, HKIAS’s contribution to the local and global scientific communities lies in the calibre of our fellows and is measured by the impact of their research that prompts advances in science and technology. The new Senior Fellows are going to further enhance the extraordinary quality of the Institute. As indicated by their areas of excellence in their respective fields of research, ranging from molecular biology, quantum entanglement, and materials and structural metallurgy, their expertise complements and enhances our own faculty strength. They are going to join other fellows, drawn from many different countries, to help fulfil our mission to facilitate disinterested research into fundamental questions in the specified fields we have chosen for HKIAS.
The students, postdoctoral researchers and scholars from CityU as well as from other local educational institutions will benefit from working with them and from their mentoring in the coming months and years.
