New Office at Academic Exchange Building

Hong Kong Institute for Advanced Study was relocated to a new office at Academic Exchange Building, CityU in August. The new office provides ample space to stimulate active academic exchange and interaction among HKIAS Senior Fellows, visiting scholars and post-doctoral students. The office features a new lecture theatre which is equipped with cutting-edge facilities that cater for a wide range of academic activities. HKIAS will organize more scientific events and further strengthen multidisciplinary research.

Summer Institute on Quality, Reliability, and Data Science

The Summer Institute on Quality, Reliability, and Data Science (QRDS) was held in May 2023. It consisted of lectures and workshops presented by well-renowned scholars and experts on important and emerging research topics related to QRDS. It is designed to mix early career scientists with senior scholars for interactive exchanges and discussions.

HK Tech Forum Series

To provide a dynamic platform for examining innovative strategies and approaches to major challenges in science and technology, the HKIAS hosts six forums in the HK Tech Forum series in the second half of 2022. The series was initiated by President Way Kuo of CityU with Professor Xun-Li Wang, Executive Director of HKIAS and Chair Professor of the Department of Physics, acting as chief coordinator.
